Maruti Suzuki Opens 200th Nexa Studio, Targets 600 Outlets in India by FY2031

Maruti Suzuki has announced that it has opened its 200th Nexa Studio outlet in India. Sharing this update the automaker shared that the 200th Nexa studio milestone outlet is located in Kharkhoda, Haryana; which is also very close to the company’s manufacturing facility in the state.

The information shared by Maruti Suzuki highlights that the Nexa network has expanded to over 740 outlets spanning over 530 cities in the country. The automaker also shared an insight which outlines that it is targeting to open 600 Nexa Studio outlets by FY2031, further increasing its focus on tier-II, tier-III and semi-urban markets.

Launched in July 2015, Nexa was positioned as a separate premium retail channel. Within its first year, it had established 100 outlets across 94 cities. In FY2024-25, Nexa recorded sales of over 5.4 lakh vehicles, accounting for nearly 30 per cent of Maruti Suzuki’s total domestic volumes. Maruti Suzuki's portfolio retailed via Nexa includes models like - Ignis, Baleno, Fronx, Grand Vitara, XL6, Jimny, Invicto and the recently introduced e Vitara.

Maruti Suzuki introduced the Nexa Studio back in August 2024, it is designed for markets where setting up a full-scale Nexa dealership may not be feasible. Unlike conventional satellite showrooms, these outlets operate as integrated facilities offering sales, service and spare parts under one roof. The smaller footprint lowers investment requirements for dealer partners while maintaining the brand’s standardised retail experience.

Now the expansion of Nexa Studios is coming at a point where Maruti Suzuki is starting to scale its electric vehicle portfolio. The e Vitara is retailed exclusively through Nexa outlets and the company indicates that tier-II and tier-III cities currently contribute around 10 percent of overall EV sales in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
