The upcoming Q7 will mark a major update for the SUV, bringing a new design language, updated technology and a new platform.
Next-Gen Audi Q7: Expected Design
The teaser image highlights a section of the SUV's side profile, showing an S Line badge, a redesigned ORVM and a conventional pull-type door handle. A strong character line running across the doors is also visible. It is expected to get split LED headlamps, a larger single-frame grille, a honeycomb-pattern lower air intake and a full-width LED light bar at the rear along with new alloy wheel design.
Next-Gen Audi Q7: Expected Platform
The third-gen Audi Q7 is expected to be based on the Volkswagen Group's Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture. The same platform is likely to underpin several future Audi models, including the upcoming Q9. The move to the new platform is expected to bring significant upgrades in cabin technology, connectivity and driving dynamics while supporting electrified powertrains.
Next-Gen Audi Q7: Expected Powertrain
While official powertrain details have not been revealed yet, the next-generation Q7 is expected to be offered with 48V mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engines in global markets. Plug-in hybrid variants are also likely to be part of the lineup. Audi's signature “Quattro” all-wheel-drive system is expected to remain standard on most variants.
Next-Gen Audi Q7: Expected Features
Audi has not revealed the interior yet, but multiple media reports suggest the new Q7 could adopt a more digital dashboard layout with multiple screens. Other expected features can include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ambient lighting, head-up display, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS functions. Higher trims could also offer powered, ventilated and massaging seats.
When Will the New Q7 Launch in India?
The Q7 remains one of Audi India's key products in the luxury SUV segment. Although the German automaker has not confirmed launch timelines for India, the third-generation Q7 is expected to arrive in the country sometime in late 2026 or early 2027.
