Kawasaki has teased an updated version of the Ninja H2, bringing the supercharged motorcycle back into focus after its absence from several European markets. The teaser carries the line “Return To Beyond Belief” and features the sound of the motorcycle’s supercharged engine, pointing towards the return of the Ninja H2.
The teaser does not reveal the motorcycle itself or confirm its specifications. However, earlier certification information suggests that the updated Ninja H2 could produce significantly less power than the outgoing version.

Kawasaki Ninja H2: What We Know

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 was introduced at EICMA in 2014 and was later joined by the track-only Ninja H2R. The road-legal Ninja H2 was powered by a supercharged 998cc, inline-four engine and produced around 228 bhp in its previous iteration.
The new teaser is a callback to the motorcycle’s original introduction, with Kawasaki using the phrase “Return To Beyond Belief”. The video also features the distinctive sound of the supercharger and engine, although no technical details have been disclosed.
Kawasaki has not confirmed the launch date yet. However, the updated Ninja H2 could make its public debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan.

New Kawasaki Ninja H2: Expected Powertrain

The biggest change expected on the updated Ninja H2 is its engine output. Multiple media reports indicate that the new motorcycle could use a version of Kawasaki’s supercharged 998cc four-cylinder engine producing around 197bhp. This is considerably lower than the approximately 228bhp produced by the previous Ninja H2.
The engine could therefore share its state of tune with the Kawasaki Z H2. The lower output is expected to be related to emission requirements, with the revised motorcycle potentially receiving changes to its engine mapping and operating parameters. Reports also suggest that the new Ninja H2 could have a lower redline than the previous model.

Why Is Kawasaki Updating The Ninja H2?

The Ninja H2 was discontinued in the UK and several European markets in 2021 after stricter Euro 5 emission regulations came into effect. Bringing the Ninja H2 into compliance with newer emission requirements could allow Kawasaki to return the motorcycle to markets where it was previously withdrawn.

New Kawasaki Ninja H2: Expected Launch

Kawasaki has not announced an official unveiling date for the updated Ninja H2. However, EICMA 2026 remains a likely venue for its debut, given that the original Ninja H2 was unveiled at the same motorcycle show in 2014.
