Nissan has confirmed it will showcase multiple models at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, scheduled to be held from January 9 to 11 at Makuhari Messe, Japan. The display will include a new Nismo concept vehicle, an updated Fairlady Z and the X-Trail Rock Creek concept.

New Nismo Concept Teased

Nissan will debut an unnamed Nismo concept at the event. Only a single teaser image has been released so far, showing a small section of the vehicle’s rear. Due to the limited view, Nissan has not revealed the body type or powertrain details of the concept.
Visible elements from the teaser include horizontally arranged taillights positioned below a rear lip spoiler. The image also shows vertical air vents near the edges of the rear fenders and a sharply angled rear windscreen. These features suggest a performance-oriented design, but Nissan has not confirmed whether the concept is powered by an internal combustion engine, an electric drivetrain or a hybrid setup.

Nismo Prototype Planned for 2026

In addition to the concept, Nissan has stated that a separate Nismo prototype is expected to make its competitive debut later in 2026. A production version of this prototype is planned for the future. The company has not clarified whether this prototype is directly related to the unnamed Nismo concept.
