Skoda Announces Price Hike of up to Rs 20,000, Effective from October 2026

The Indian division of the Czech automaker Skoda has announced a price hike for the Indian market. This price hike is scheduled to come into effect from next month. The upcoming Skoda price hike will be applicable to the company's India portfolio and will be reflected in ex-showroom prices. The increase will be capped at 1.2 percent.

Skoda has confirmed that prices of its cars will increase in the Indian market from October 1st 2026. This price hike will result in an increase of up to Rs 20,000. Like most manufacturers the automaker has cited rising input and operational costs as the reason behind this upcoming price hike. The price hike will vary across models and variants.

The price revision will affect Skoda's India range, which currently includes the Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia and Kodiaq. The company has also introduced performance-focused models such as the Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS in limited numbers. Skoda has expanded its portfolio during 2026 with new variants and trims. These include the Kylaq Sportline and Classic+ and Prestige+ versions.

Skoda had unveiled the Slavia facelift in India last month and is gearing up to launch the updated sedan in the country next month. Prices for the facelifted sedan are scheduled to be announced on October 6th 2026. The Slavia facelift gets revised design and features along with a new 8-speed AT for the 1.0-litre TSI engine replacing the 6-speed AT offered with the outgoing model.
