Skoda Peaq: New 7-Seater EV Confirmed as New Flagship SUV

Skoda has confirmed that its upcoming all-electric seven-seat flagship SUV will be called Peaq. The model is scheduled to make its global debut in summer 2026 and will sit at the top of the Czech carmaker’s product portfolio.

The Peaq will be the production version of the Vision 7S concept that was revealed in spring 2022. That concept introduced Skoda’s Modern Solid design direction and outlined the brand’s roadmap for future electric vehicles. With the name now officially announced, Skoda has taken a further step towards bringing the concept-based model to series production.

Positioned above the Enyaq in Skoda’s EV range, the Peaq is expected to become the brand’s largest and most expensive electric vehicle. It is likely to function as an electric equivalent to the Skoda Kodiaq and will enter a segment that includes other seven-seat electric SUVs such as the Peugeot e-5008 and Mercedes-Benz GLB. The Peaq is also expected to be priced below larger and more premium electric SUVs like the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90.

Skoda says the Peaq has been developed around space, practicality and comfort, which remain central to the brand’s positioning. The three-row layout is aimed at families and buyers looking for a single vehicle that can handle daily commuting, longer journeys and leisure travel. The cabin is expected to feature Skoda’s ‘Simply Clever’ usability-focused solutions, although detailed interior and feature information has not yet been shared.

Technical specifications, including battery options, driving range and powertrain details, are yet to be disclosed. Skoda has indicated that these details will be revealed closer to the vehicle’s world premiere.

The Peaq will form part of Skoda’s expanding electric vehicle portfolio as the brand continues its transition towards electrification within the Volkswagen Group. More information on specifications, pricing and market rollout is expected in the lead-up to its global unveiling in 2026.
