Skoda Auto India is all set to introduce the updated 2026 Slavia facelift on August 18, marking the sedan's first major mid-cycle update since its launch. After giving the Kushaq SUV a comprehensive refresh earlier this year, the Czech carmaker is now turning its attention to its premium sedan. The facelift is expected to bring refreshed styling, feature upgrades and a new automatic gearbox option while retaining the existing engine lineup.
Key Highlights:
  • 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift to launch in India on August 18
  • Expected to get refreshed styling, updated cabin and new features
  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol likely to receive a new 8-speed automatic gearbox
  • Will continue to rival the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus

Skoda Slavia Facelift: Expected Exterior Styling

The 2026 Slavia facelift has been spotted testing multiple times over the past few months, with most test cars featuring camouflage only at the front and rear. This suggests that the overall silhouette will remain unchanged.
At the front, the sedan is expected to receive redesigned LED daytime running lights, a sharper Skoda grille and a revised bumper for a cleaner and more premium look. The side profile is likely to remain identical to the outgoing model, although Skoda could introduce a fresh design for the alloy wheels.
At the rear, the facelift is expected to feature updated connected-style LED tail lamps, an illuminated SKODA logo and a redesigned bumper. The company may also add new exterior colour options to the range.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: Expected Interior Styling

Inside, the Slavia facelift is expected to receive several upgrades already seen on the recently updated Kushaq. These could include a larger digital instrument cluster, revised seat upholstery and improved interior trims.
One feature that could make its way to the sedan is the segment-first rear seat massage function, although Skoda has not confirmed this yet. Safety could also be improved with the addition of front parking sensors.
Most existing comfort features are expected to continue, including the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, single-pane sunroof and 8-speaker audio system.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: Safety

The Slavia already comes equipped with a strong list of safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control, electronic differential lock, traction control system and multi-collision braking.
The facelift is expected to build on this package with a few additional driver assistance and parking convenience features.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: Expected Powertrain Options

Mechanically, the Slavia facelift is expected to continue with the same turbo-petrol engines.
The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine produces 116 PS and 178 Nm of torque and is likely to receive a new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, replacing the existing 6-speed automatic. This gearbox was recently introduced with the updated Kushaq and is expected to deliver smoother performance and improved driving comfort. The 6-speed manual gearbox will continue to be offered.
The 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine will continue to produce 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque and will remain paired with the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: Expected Price and Rivals

With the additional features and styling updates, the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the current model. At present, the Slavia is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
Once launched, it will continue to compete against the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus in the mid-size sedan segment.
