Tata Intra V40 CNG Pickup Launched in India
Tata Motors has introduced the Intra V40 CNG, expanding its small commercial vehicle range in India. This pickup comes with a 1.2L bi-fuel CNG-petrol engine, front disc brakes, AC, electric power steering and more.

Tata Motors has expanded its small commercial vehicle lineup in India with the launch of the new Intra V40 CNG pickup. According to the company this latest addition to the Intra range is aimed at businesses looking for higher payload capacity, lower running costs and greater flexibility through a CNG-petrol powertrain.
The Intra V40 becomes the fourth bi-fuel commercial vehicle in the lineup of Tata Motors and joins the Ace Pro Bi-Fuel, Ace CNG 2.0 and Intra V20 Gold.

The Tata Intra V40 CNG is powered by a 1.2L three-cylinder bi-fuel engine that produces 58bhp and 106Nm of torque. This pickup is equipped with a 110 litre CNG tank and offers a claimed driving range of up to 800 km on a combination of CNG and petrol. The bi-fuel setup of the Intra V40 allows operators to switch between CNG and petrol depending on fuel availability.
A key highlight of the Intra V40 CNG is its 1,525 kg payload capacity. Tata Motors has stated that this pickup has been developed for cargo-intensive applications and last-mile transportation requirements. The Intra V40 CNG features a 2,960mm (9.7-foot) load body.
The Intra V40 is underpinned by the commercial vehicle platform from Tata Motors and it uses a hydroformed chassis designed to improve structural strength and durability. The pickup also features a walk-through cabin layout aimed at improving accessibility for drivers during daily operations. Tata Motors also claims that this vehicle offers car-like driving characteristics, which can help reduce fatigue during long working hours. It is equipped with front disc brakes and it also gets electric power steering as standard.

The Intra V40 CNG is also integrated with Tata Motors Fleet Edge connected vehicle technology. The telematics system provides vehicle tracking, real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts and operational insights designed to improve fleet uptime and efficiency.
