Indian automaker Tata Motors has announced that its popular micro-SUV, Punch has crossed the 7 lakh units cumulative sales milestone in India. The milestone has been achieved in a little over four years since the model’s launch back in October 2021. Of this total, the last 2 lakh units were sold in the previous 12 months. The Punch had crossed the 6 lakh units cumulative sales mark in July 2025.

Tata Motors has stated that with this the Punch has now become the quickest-selling SUV in the Indian vehicle market to cross the 7 lakh units sales milestone. This sales milestone coincides with the first major facelift for the Punch. Tata Motors announced prices for the updated model on January 13th 2026, and opened order books on the same day. The facelift introduces revised exterior styling in line with the company's current SUV design language, new features and a new turbo-petrol engine option.
The most notable update in the 2026 Punch facelift was the addition of the 1.2L 3-cyl turbo-petrol engine which produces 118.34bhp and 170Nm of torque.
Exterior updates on the facelifted Punch include vertically stacked LED headlamps, LED DRLs, black-finished front and rear bumpers, faux silver skid plates, connected LED tail-lamps with a light bar and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. It is offered in 6 colour options - Daytona Grey, Bengal Rouge, Coorg Clouds, Pristine White, Caramel and Cyantafic.
The 2026 Tata Punch is offered in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 5.59 to Rs 10.54 lakh. The Punch EV which is also due for facelift is currently offered in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 9.99 and Rs 14.44 lakh.
