Toyota Innova Hycross Crosses 2 Lakh Sales Milestone in India

The Indian division of the Japanese automaker Toyota has announced that its Innova Hycross MPV has achieved a new sales milestone in India. Sharing this update the company stated that the Innova Hycross has crossed the 2 lakh units sales mark in the country. Toyota introduced the Innova Hycross in the Indian market back in November 2022 and this MPV has achieved this feat in a time period of forty one months.

The Innova nameplate is iconic in India, it was introduced back in 2005 as a successor to the legendary Qualis. The Innova not only lived up to the name of its predecessor but it set new segment benchmarks. Toyota elevated its game further with the roll out of the Innova Crysta in 2016. The Innova Crysta till today remains a key product in the mobility sector. In 2022 Toyota introduced the Innova Hycross in the country. Where the Innova and Innova Crysta shares its underpinnings with the Hilux and uses a ladder-frame built; the Innova Hycross on the other hand is a monocoque MPV.

The Innova Hycross is offered with petrol and self-charging hybrid powertrains. It gets a 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 196bhp and 204Nm of torque. The other powertrain on offer gets a 2.0L petrol engine working in tandem with the hybrid system to generate a peak power output of 186bhp and 206Nm of torque. Toyota Innova Hycross petrol range starts from Rs 18.70 lakh and the hybrid range starts from Rs 26.76 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
