Toyota has launched the Urban Cruiser Ebella E3 variant in India, priced at Rs 23.60 lakh. This launch also marks Toyota's entry into the Indian electric vehicle market.

The Indian division of the Japanese automaker, Toyota has today launched the top of the line E3 variant of the electric SUV, Urban Cruiser Ebella in India priced at Rs 23.60 lakh (ex-showroom). With this launch Toyota has finally entered the Indian passenger electric vehicle segment. The Urban Cruiser Ebella shares its EV architecture with the Maruti e Vitara.

While Toyota has launched the top trim E3 variant of the Urban Cruiser Ebella in India today, we expect the automaker to reveal the prices of the entry-level E1 and E2 mid-variant in the coming weeks.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Battery, Motor And Range
Toyota introduced the Urban Cruiser Ebella in India with two LFP battery pack options - 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The 49 kWh version develops 142.1bhp and 189Nm of torque. The E3 variant launched today is equipped with the 61 kWh battery pack; it generates a peak power output of 171.6bhp and 189Nm torque. This electric SUV offers a company claimed range of up to 543 km on a single charge.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Design
In terms of design the Urban Cruiser Ebella shares striking similarities with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara but features several Toyota-specific design elements. At the front, the Urban Cruiser Ebella gets segmented LED DRLs, triangular LED headlamps connected by a gloss black trim strip. The front bumper also incorporates vertically positioned air vents on either side.
The Urban Cruiser Ebella also features prominent body cladding, flush-integrated styling elements and rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar. At the rear, this electric SUV gets segmented LED tail lamps which are connected through a black trim element instead of a full-width light bar.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Interior & Features
The cabin of the Urban Cruiser Ebella gets a dual-tone theme and it sports features like ventilated front seats, sliding and reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a rotary drive selector, JBL sound system and more.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella: Safety
On the safety front Toyota has equipped the Urban Cruiser Ebella with seven-airbags as standard across all variants. This electric SUV also features a high-tensile steel body structure, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, ESC, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist and multiple parking assistance functions and more.
