German automaker, Volkswagen has secured a perfect 5-star safety rating at the Euro NCAP, making it one of the safest performance hatchbacks in the country. While India only gets the GTi variant of the Golf, there are five hatchback variants along with three estate variants that are sold in the European market.

The Volkswagen Golf GTi is powered by the same 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 261.37 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Volkswagen Golf GTi accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.

The Volkswagen Golf GTi is equipped with a slew of features including an illuminated logo on the front of the grille with 18-inch Richmond, diamond-turned wheels. Moreover, the hot hatch gruntles courtesy of twin chrome exhausts and is equipped with X-shaped fog lights for better illumination. Additionally, the hot hatch’s interior features a 12.9-inch infotainment screen with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, IDA voice controls, and wired and wireless app connect, among others.

The Volkswagen Golf GTi measures 4,289mm in length, 1,789 mm in width and 1,471 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,627mm. The performance hatchback boasts four colour options including Kings Red Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Grenadilla Black Metallic and Moonstone Grey.
