Jawa 42 FJ Launched With New 350cc Engine, Starting At Rs 1.99 Lakh

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched the new 42 FJ, expanding its 42 Life series, with a starting price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle, powered by the new 350 Alpha2 engine, blends classic design with modern performance.

The 42 FJ is equipped with the newly developed 350 Alpha2 engine, delivering 28.8 bhp of power and 29.6 Nm of torque. This engine is designed for robust performance, featuring gear-based mapping and a six-speed gearbox with Assist and Slipper (A&S) clutch technology.

Design-wise, the 42 FJ pays homage to Jawa's legacy while embracing modern elements. The motorcycle features an anodized brushed aluminum fuel tank, complemented by aluminum components like the headlamp holder and footpegs.

The 42 FJ is built on a double cradle frame with a long wheelbase of 1,440 mm, offering enhanced stability. The motorcycle also boasts a segment-leading ground clearance of 178 mm, making it suitable for various terrains. Safety is bolstered by a dual-channel ABS system and larger disc brakes, ensuring precise stopping power.

The 42 FJ comes equipped with modern features such as all-LED lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, an upswept exhaust, and USB charging ports.

The Jawa 42 FJ is offered in two variants, each with distinct pricing based on color and features. The entry-level variant, equipped with dual-channel ABS and spoke wheels, is priced at Rs 1,99,142 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in Aurora Green Matte Spoke. Other variants with dual-channel ABS and alloy wheels are available in various color options, including Deep Black Matte Red Clad, Deep Black Matte Black Clad and Mystique Copper, with prices ranging from Rs 2,10,142 to Rs 2,20,142.
