German luxury and sports car manufacturer Audi has introduced the 2025 model year A6 Avant. This marks the global debut of the next-generation A6 Avant. It comes with a wagon design featuring a low drag coefficient of 0.25, making it the most aerodynamically efficient internal combustion Avant till date. The company stated that the 2025 A6 Avant is based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture from the company and it gets multiple powertrain options, new technology and an updated design.
2025 Audi A6 Avant: Powertrain
In Europe, the A6 Avant has debuted with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing 201 bhp with front-wheel-drive configuration; it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.3 seconds. A 2.0L turbo-diesel variant with mild-hybrid technology producing 201 bhp. The diesel version gets FWD and AWD configurations. The diesel FWD version can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and the AWD version can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7 seconds
The top-spec model features a 3.0L turbocharged V6 with a 48V mild-hybrid system, generating a combined power output of 362 bhp. It gets the company’s signature quattro all-wheel drive system. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.
2025 Audi A6 Avant: Design
The new A6 Avant retains its signature long-roof design with sharper lines and a larger grille. The front features boomerang-inspired elements and large air intakes to enhance airflow. The headlights incorporate Audi’s signature LED detailing, while the rear now has functional exhaust tips.

The A6 Avant features progressive steering as standard, with an adaptive air suspension option that adjusts ride height and damping. Rear-wheel steering is available, improving maneuverability. The quattro sport differential, offered with the V6 model, enhances cornering by actively distributing torque between the rear wheels.
The interior of the A6 Avant closely resembles the smaller A5 Avant. It includes a 14.5-inch infotainment display, an 11.9-inch digital driver’s display, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger screen. Sound insulation has been improved by 30 percent over the previous model, with tighter seals on doors and windows. Optional acoustic glazing is available for the rear doors.
The panoramic glass roof now includes a "digital curtain" feature, allowing the transparency to be adjusted in nine segments. The lighting system offers seven customizable exterior designs, while adaptive illumination enhances visibility.
2025 Audi A6 Avant: Availability
Audi has confirmed that the 2025 A6 Avant is scheduled to hit the market in May 2025. This will be followed by a sedan version next month. Future performance-oriented variants, such as the S6 Avant and RS6 Avant, are expected to be introduced later. The A6 Avant is expected.
