Lexus has unveiled the 2025 IS 500 Ultimate Edition, a limited-run model restricted to 500 units for North America, marking the conclusion of the V8 IS series. This exclusive edition features a unique "Wind" grey metallic exterior, a red and black interior with premium materials, and distinctive design elements. It is powered by a 5L V8 engine delivering 472 bhp and 595 Nm of torque. Enhanced braking and advanced safety features are included, ensuring exceptional performance and security for drivers.

2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition Introduced In North America
Lexus has introduced the 2025 IS 500 Ultimate Edition, a limited-run variant of the IS 500 F Sport Performance. The model is limited to 500 units and will be available in North America later in 2025. It is positioned as a final version of the V8-powered IS series. The 2025 IS 500 Ultimate Edition will be released in limited numbers in North America and Lexus has not shared any details yet regarding its availability for other markets.
2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition
The IS 500 Ultimate Edition has been developed under the Lexus Driving Signature framework. Vehicle response, control, and ride quality have been tested at the Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama in Japan.
The Ultimate Edition introduces a body colour named “Wind,” a light grey metallic finish. This is an exclusive paint option available only on this variant.
The cabin includes a red and black theme, with seats made using NuLuxe and Ultrasuede materials. The steering wheel and gear selector are covered in textured leather. Red seatbelts and a serialized badge are present in the interior. A clock with a red laser-etched dial is also included.
An 8-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen displays vehicle information and includes a variant-specific start-up animation. The centre console and scuff plates carry markings identifying the Ultimate Edition.
2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition: Powertrain
The IS 500 Ultimate Edition uses a 5L V8 engine paired with an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission. The drivetrain continues to deliver 472 bhp and 595 Nm of torque to the rear wheels.
2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition: Braking
This edition includes front brakes with 380 mm ventilated discs and opposed six-piston aluminum calipers supplied by Brembo. The brake calipers are red in colour. The car is equipped with 19-inch forged alloy wheels produced by BBS, which are finished in matte black.
2025 Lexus IS 500 Ultimate Edition: Safety
The model includes Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 which include:
- Pre-Collision System with pedestrian and cyclist detection
- Emergency steering assistance
- Detection and automatic braking for oncoming vehicles during left turns
- Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality
- Lane keeping assist using road markings and vehicle tracking
- Lane departure warning with steering correction
- Road sign recognition and display on the driver information screen
- Automatic switching between high and low beam
