2026 BMW M2 CS Break Cover Ahead Of Its Official Debut On May 28: Design Revealed, Specs Awaited
BMW recently introduced the 2026 M2 CS at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, teasing its performance-oriented version of the M2 Coupe ahead of the full specifications release on May 28th. The M2 CS features a redesigned exterior with improved aerodynamics, including a prominent ducktail spoiler and unique gold-finished wheels. Inside, it boasts lightweight bucket seats and extensive carbon fiber accents. The anticipated powertrain includes a 3.0L twin-turbo engine producing around 530 bhp, with enhancements for performance and weight reduction.

German automaker BMW has unveiled the 2026 model year M2 CS at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, ahead of its official reveal later this month. With this the company offers a sneak peak of the upcoming performance-focused version of the M2 Coupe. While the company has withheld full technical specifications until May 28th, the design details and early insights mark a notable shift in the model’s direction.
2026 BMW M2 CS: Exterior
The 2026 BMW M2 CS features several visual changes that differentiate it from the standard M2. These include a reworked front bumper with redesigned air vents for improved engine cooling and a new grille. It sports gold-finished wheels and red brake calipers reminiscent of its CS lineage. The major highlight however remains the most distinctive addition in the form of a large ducktail spoiler at the rear which aims at enhancing its high-speed stability. The rear diffuser has also been revised for aerodynamic gains.
The car displayed at the event was draped in subtle flat grey finish and unlike the M3 CS and M4 CS, it does not feature racing stripes. The visual package suggests BMW’s focus on blending performance with restrained styling.
2026 BMW M2 CS: Interior & Features
On the inside, the 2026 M2 CS features lightweight bucket seats with M performance colors and red accents. In the cabin there is extensive use of carbon fibre and CS badging across various touchpoints, including the seats and door sills.
2026 BMW M2 CS: Expected Powertrain
While BMW has not revealed any official specifications of this car, industry sources online suggest that the M2 CS will retain the 3.0L twin-turbo 6-cylinder petrol engine which is expected to produce approximately 530 bhp and 650 Nm of torque, which is about 50 bhp and 100 Nm more than the standard M2. This engine is expected to be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, chances of manual transmission might be slim.
It is also expected to get retuned suspension, upgraded brakes with carbon ceramic discs and a titanium exhaust system. All contributing to weight reduction and enhanced performance of this upcoming car.
2026 BMW M2 CS: Launch Timeline
BMW has only revealed the design of the new M2 CS for now. Full details, including performance figures, pricing and availability, will officially be revealed by the company on May 28th 2025. This model is expected to serve as a more track-oriented version of the M2, continuing the tradition established by previous CS models in the BMW M lineup.
