Maserati MCPura: Powertrain & Design

The MCPura continues with the 3.0L twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine producing about 621 bhp and 730 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
It features a revised front grille with a trapezoidal profile, new front and rear bumpers inspired by the GT2 Stradale and a modified splitter design. On the inside, the MCPura features seats upholstered in laser-etched Alcantara with non-uniform vertical patterns which create a layered visual effect. The etching reveals dual-sided backing in iridescent red-blue combinations. Other interior elements remain identical to the MC20.

Maserati MCPura: Colour Options

The Maserati MCPura was unveiled in a newly developed AI Aqua Rainbow colour. The coupe version gets a matte finish, while the convertible variant, called MCPura Cielo, features a gloss finish. The colour produces different effects in sunlight, similar to a prism. Maserati’s Fuoriserie customisation programme will offer over 30 paint options, including Devil Orange, Verde Royale, and Night Interaction.
The Maserati Trident logo and badging now use a magenta tint with blue mica flakes, applied to the grille, C-pillar, wheel centre caps, and side insignia. These are glossy on the coupe and matte on the convertible.

Maserati MCPura: Production & Launch Timeline

The MCPura will enter production in the third quarter of 2025 at Maserati’s Modena facility in Italy. US sales are expected to begin in December 2025. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, with expectations of a marginal increase over the current MC20 coupe (approximately $243,000) and Cielo convertible (approximately $277,000).

Management’s Viewpoint

Santo Ficili, Maserati COO, said, “With MCPURA, Maserati is once again regaining its rightful place: at the top and in its stomping ground. Both versions – coupe and Cielo – are created at our historic Modena facility, where the heart of the Trident has been beating for almost 90 years. This is where the entire MCPURA production process takes place: we produce the Nettuno engine, assemble each component and carry out the most exclusive customisation at the Maserati Officine Fuoriserie. Modena is not just our headquarters; it forms part of our identity. We are the oldest automotive marque in the Motor Valley, an area we have helped to build and that we continue to represent around the world. From there, we proudly tell the story of Italian excellence and luxury”.
