Audio giant Dolby Laboratories has announced a partnership with German automaker Audi to introduce Dolby Atmos sound technology in select models from next month. Sharing this update the company revealed that the first set of Audi cars featuring this system will be delivered starting from July 2025.
Models to Receive Dolby Atmos
The information shared by the company highlight that the following Audi models will be equipped with Dolby Atmos-enabled sound systems from next month, including:
Audi Q7 Audi Q8 Audi A8 Audi e-tron GT
Sound System Integration
The company has outlined that Dolby Atmos will be integrated into the Bang & Olufsen Premium 3D Sound System, which has been adapted specifically for this purpose in these models. Playback for the same will be accessible through Audi’s Multimedia Interface (MMI), with support from integrated applications such as Amazon Music, Audible and Tidal which are accessible via the Audi Application Store.
Availability
The rollout of Dolby Atmos in Audi vehicles will begin in markets where Audi connect services are available. The company also offers connect services in India and this new service will be available in the above models offered in the Indian market.
