E20 Compliant MG Hector SUV Launched In India: Check Details

British legacy automaker MG Motor has today introduced the E20 compliant version of its popular midsize SUV Hector in the Indian market. This move also aligns with the company’s vision and commitment of moving towards sustainable mobility in the country.

MG Hector Becomes E20 Compliant

The MG Motor has launched the E20 compliant Hector SUV in the Indian market with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 13.99 lakh. The pricing of this SUV remains affected with this update, keeping up with the competition in a price sensitive market like India.

The E20 compliant Hector has been achieved for its petrol version which will be available with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine which produces a peak power output of 141.04 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is available with 6-speed MT and CVT. Sharing this update the company outlined that this move also falls in line with the Indian’s government’s mandate of making petrol powered vehicles manufactured in India E20 compliant by April 1st 2025. Hence all the Hector models manufactured in India post March 31st 2025 meet these guidelines.

MG Motor has quickly established itself as a major player in the Indian market shining in electric car sales. Taking its commitment for clean mobility in India forward the company is also looking to launch two new electric cars in the domestic market - the Cyberster EV and M9. Both these vehicles will be sold by the company’s new MG Seletect premium retail chain.
