Honda Experiences Over 18 Percent Drop In Car Sales In India
Honda Sales December: Honda reported a 18.80 percent year-on-year decline in total passenger vehicle sales in December 2024, selling 9,460 units. Domestic sales fell by 29.09 percent to 5,603 units, while exports rose by 2.91 percent to 3,857 units. For calendar year 2024, Honda sold 1,31,871 vehicles, including 68,650 domestic and 63,221 exported units.

Honda Experiences Over 18 Percent Drop In Car Sales In India
As we enter 2025, Japanese automaker Honda has shared the passenger car sales data for December 2024 and Calendar Year (CY) 2024. The data shared by the company reflects it managed to sell over five thousand units of passenger vehicles in the country last month and it sold a total of over 1.31 lakh units of passenger vehicles in the last calendar year.
Honda Monthly Car Sales: December 2024
In December 2024 Honda managed to sell a total of 9,460 units of passenger vehicles (domestic + exports). This sales figure represents a fall in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 2,191 units which further translates into a 18.80 percent decline in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In December 2023 Honda posted a total passenger vehicle sales of 11,651 units.

In December 2024 Honda managed to sell 5,603 units of passenger vehicles domestically in the Indian market. This sales figure represents a year-on-year decline in monthly domestic passenger vehicles sales by 2,299 units which further translates into a 29.09 percent decline in year-on-year monthly domestic passenger vehicle sales. In December 2023 Honda posted a domestic passenger vehicle sales of 7,9702 units.
In December 2024 Honda exported 3,857 units of passenger vehicles from India. This represents a year-on-year increase in monthly passenger vehicle exports by 108 units which further translates into a 2.91 percent year-on-year growth in monthly passenger vehicle exports. In December 2023 Honda exported 3,749 units of passenger vehicles.

Honda also shared the sales data for CY24 which outlines that the company managed to sell a total (domestic + export) of 1,31,871 units of passenger vehicles last calendar year. In the domestic market the company sold 68,650 units of passenger vehicles last year and exported 63,221 units of passenger vehicles in CY24.
