Kia Syros Secures 5-Star Safety Rating At Bharat NCAP: Check Details
The Kia Syros, a premium sub-compact SUV, has achieved a 5-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP, scoring 30.21 out of 32 in adult occupant protection and a strong 23.42 in child protection with a perfect CRS installation score. Equipped with multiple airbags and ISOFIX, the rating applies to petrol variants. Available in eight colors and four trims, the Syros offers petrol and diesel engine options starting at Rs 8.99 lakh.

Kia Syros Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating: Check Details
South Korean automaker, Kia’s premium sub-compact SUV, the Syros has secured a safety rating of 5-star at Bharat NCAP. The sub-compact SUV has secured a 30.21 rating out of 32, scoring 14.21 in frontal offset deformable barrier test of 16 and scoring 16 out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test.
Additionally, the Kia Syros secured a dynamic score of 23.42 in child protection. Moreover, the CRS installation score the sub-compact SUV secured was a perfect 12 out of 12. In addition to that, the Kia Syros secured 9 out of 13 in vehicle assessment score in child occupant protection.
The Kia Syros features multiple safety features which include frontal airbags, belt pretensioner, side head curtain airbag, side chest airbag and ISOFIX, among others. The rating is applicable across variants of the petrol powered G1.0 T-GDi Smartstream in both manual and automatic transmission.
The Kia Syros is powered by two different powertrains: a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing 118.35 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, and a 1.5L four-cylinder diesel engine producing 114.41 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The turbo petrol engine is offered with 6-speed manual transmission and 7-speed dual clutch transmission while the diesel engine is offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
Kia has introduced the Syros SUV in India with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 8.99 lakh. It has been introduced in eight colour options and four broad trim levels. The eight colour options include Frost Blue, Imperial Blue, Sparkling Silver, Glacier White Pearl, Intense Red, Pewter Olive, Gravity Gray and Aurora Black Pearl.
