Made In India Honda Elevate SUV Crosses 1 Lakh Global Sales Mark

Japanese automaker Honda has today announced that its first ever proper compact SUV, the Elevate, has achieved a new global sales milestone. Sharing this update the company highlighted that the Made in India Elevate had crossed the 1 lakh unit sales mark globally. This feat by the company also aligns with the Indian government’s vision of ‘Make in India, Make for the World’.

With this update Honda has also offered a sales insight which outlines that the company has managed to sell about 53,326 units of the Elevate in India and has exported 47,653 units of the Elevate to other countries like - Japan, South Africa, Nepal and Bhutan. The company also stated that these sales figures account for sales till January 2025.

The Honda Elevate made its global debut in India as the company’s first global compact SUV back in September 2023 and in just 17 months of its launch the company has successfully sold 1,00,000 units of this SUV globally. The Elevate is also the first ever car from Honda to be Made in India and exported to its home-turf in Japan. The company also shared that it had commenced with the Export of the Elevate back in 2023 itself and it helped the company increase its exports by up to 65 percent in FY23-24 and up to 92 percent in the current financial year till January.

The company also offered sales insights of the Elevate in India which state that - 53 percent of the buyers opted for the top end ZX variant, 79 percent of the buyers opted for the CVT version, it was the first ever car for 22 percent of its buyers with 43 percent of the buyers got it as an additional car in their household. Top colour choices opted by Elevate customers were:
