Mercedes-AMG APXGP Edition GT: Real-World Supercar For A Fictional F1 Team
Mercedes-AMG has introduced a limited-run GT “APXGP Edition” model as part of its collaboration with the upcoming Apple Original Films' Formula 1 movie, which stars Brad Pitt. The edition is limited to just 52 units and features design elements inspired by the fictional APXGP F1 team in the film.

At the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, Mercedes-AMG presented a limited-edition version of the AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ called the “APXGP Edition.” This vehicle has been developed in connection with Apple Original Films’ upcoming Formula 1-themed movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. This is a special edition model limited to just 52 units.

Design Referencing the Film's Fictional Racing Team
The APXGP Edition GT features paint and detailing based on the fictional APXGP Formula 1 team featured in the film. The car is finished in an APXGP-specific paint scheme with race gold accents and design elements applied manually. It runs on 21-inch AMG forged wheels, which also feature a matte race gold finish.
Mechanical Features Remain Unchanged
The The APXGP Edition GT retains the 4.0L V8 biturbo engine producing 577 bhp, with AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and standard rear-axle steering. It also includes AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension and a range of systems designed for track-focused driving.
Carbon Fibre and Black Chrome Trim
The APXGP Edition includes AMG carbon fibre packages and black chrome elements under the Night Package II. Features such as a fixed rear wing, panoramic roof, and carbon trim underline its track-inspired design.

Interior Changes Based on Film Theme
On the inside, the cabin uses black Nappa leather and microfibre with race gold stitching. The steering wheel, floor mats and dashboard trims continue the same color scheme. A badge on the centre console identifies the car as one of 52 units.
Additional Equipment and Protection
Standard features include a Burmester 3D surround sound system, 360° camera, driver assistance systems, AMG TRACK PACE telemetry tool and ambient lighting. Each unit comes with a custom car cover designed to protect it in indoor settings.

Collaboration Includes Promotional Campaign
Mercedes-AMG has provided technical support and vehicles for the production of the film. A global co-promotion campaign is expected to run alongside the film’s theatrical release later this year.
