MG Launches 2025 Update Of This SUV With Panoramic Sunroof Starting From Rs 12.50 Lakh, Turbo Petrol Variants Return

Chinese owned legacy British automaker MG Motor has today launched the 2025 model year Astor in the Indian market. This compact SUV is also referred to by the company’s as 'India’s First Car with AI Personal Assistant’. Sharing this update the company revealed that with the 2025 model year update this SUV now gets a Shine variant with panoramic sunroof and the turbo petrol engine also makes a return to its lineup.

The 2025 model year MG Astor has undergone several important changes. Cosmetically the remains the same but it gets features, new variant and powertrain update. The 2025 Astor is now being offered with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh. It gets a new Shine variant which comes with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 12.99 lakh and it comes equipped with 6-Airbags, Ivory leatherette seats and a panoramic sunroof. The company also claims that the new Astor Shine variant is the most affordable car in its segment to sport a panoramic sunroof.

The 2025 MG Astor witnesses the return of the turbo petrol engine and now it is offered with two engine options. It gets the 1.5L NA petrol engine which churns out 108.49 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, this engine is available with the option of a 5-speed MT and a CVT. The other engine on offer is the 1.3L 4-cyl turbo petrol engine which produces 138 bhp and 220 Nm of torque, this engine is only available with an automatic transmission.

The 2025 model year Astor comes with features like AI personal assistant, panoramic sunroof, over 50 safety features, 14 Level 2 ADAS features, front ventilated seats, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Auto-Dimming IRVM, 80 plus connected car features, Jio voice recognition system with voice commands support digital key and more.
