MG Windsor Tops India’s EV Sales For Second Consecutive Month In November 2024
The MG Windsor retained its position as India’s best-selling electric vehicle in November 2024, with 3,144 units sold. JSW MG Motor India reported a 20% year-on-year growth, highlighting increasing demand for its electric models.

The MG Windsor EV emerged again as India's best-selling electric passenger vehicle for the second consecutive month. In November 2024 EV sales, JSW MG Motor India sold 3,144 units of the Windsor. In October 2024 MG sold 3,116 units of Windsor EV. MG secured more than 30% market share for the total electric cars sold in November.
In November 2024 MG total sales stood at stood at 6,019 units, showing a Y-o-Y increase of 20% compared to the total sales made in November 2023. Electric and hybrid vehicles or NEVs new energy vehicle sales accounted for 70% of the brand’s overall sales.
Recently, MG delivered 201 EVs in a single day in Bangalore. The brands EVs, includes MG Windsor – India’s First CUV, MG ZS EV and MG Comet. Recently, Bengaluru Airport Taxi has also deployed 75 ZS EVs through Refex Green Mobility.
Earlier this year MG Motor India had introduced the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program in the country earlier this year during the launch of Windsor EV. The MG BaaS program allows customers to rent the battery for a per-kilometer fee instead of purchasing it outright. The program also offers a 60 percent buyback value after three years of ownership.
In the monthly October 2024 sales, MG Windsor EV become the top selling electric car in India with 3,116 units sold in October 2024. Overall, MG sold 7,045 units of passenger vehicles last month. This also represents an overall year on year growth in monthly passenger vehicle sales by 31%.
