MG Cyberster: Specs, Performance, Range

The MG Cyberster first made its debut in India in March this year. The convertible EV is available with two battery pack and electric motor options. The entry-level model gets a single rear-mounted motor making 304 bhp of max power. This version gets a 64 kWh battery pack with a 507 km of WLTP-certified range. The higher-spec GT model is packed with a 77 kWh battery pack offering a WLTP-certified range of 443 km, powering the two motors, one on each axle. Combined, the higher-spec Cyberster produces 503 bhp and a whopping 725 Nm of peak torque, helping it sprint from 0-100 kph in just 3.2 seconds before topping out at an electronically limited top speed of 200 kph.
Some other highlights of the MG Cyberster include 20-inch alloy wheels, a wraparound 2-screen setup, scissor doors, launch control, a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel and a cockpit-like layout. The MG Cyberster will have no direct rivals upon arrival and will likely go on to become the most affordable roadster car in the Indian market upon arrival. Prices could start from north of Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
