Since its official launch on March 20, Mitsubishi has received more than 1,800 bookings for the Xforce HEV. The initial demand has exceeded the company’s internal expectations.
Produced Locally in Thailand
The vehicle is manufactured at Mitsubishi’s facility in Laem Chabang, which handles both production and sales for the Thai market and exports to other regions.
Key Details
The Xforce HEV is a five-seater SUV built on a compact platform. According to the company, customers have shown interest in its design, cabin space, fuel efficiency and hybrid powertrain. Mitsubishi has not yet confirmed the export destinations or the delivery timeline for international markets.
Takao Kato, president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Motors, commented on the damage caused in Thailand by the earthquake in central Myanmar last month, saying "I would like to pay my respects to those who lost their lives in this disaster and express my condolences to their families." He continued, "We have a long history of doing business in Thailand, starting operations over 60 years ago. With the support of the Thai government, we have contributed to the advancement of Thailand's automobile industry. We will continue to contribute to the Thai economy and automobile industry while also introducing electrified vehicles at enabling Thailand to achieve carbon neutrality."
