Punch, Nexon, Curvv Lead Tata Motors To 2% Growth In Sales In November 2024

Tata Motors registered a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 2% in November 2024, selling a total of 47,063 passenger vehicles in the country as compared to the 46,068 units it sold in the same month last year. This helped the carmaker finish the month on third position behind Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai in terms of sales last month.

Tata Motors' portfolio currently consists of SUVs such as Nexon, Nexon.ev, Punch, Punch.ev, Curvv, Curvv.ev, Harrier and Safari, as well as cars like Tiago and Tigor. With 47,063 units sold in November, the homegrown manufacturer just 1,183 units short of Hyundai that occupied the second spot. Mahindra & Mahindra was behind Tata Motors on third with 46,222 units sold in the month. Tata Motors' Commercial Vehicles registered a 1% YoY degrowth after selling 27,636 units in November 2024, down from 28,029 units in the same month last year.

Tata is currently working on introducing an electrified version of the Harrier, which will be called Harrier EV (stylized Harrier.ev), expected to be launched in the country sometime next year. The carmaker will also introduce the Sierra EV (Sierra.ev) in the second half of next year, which will be followed by the ICE Sierra. Other upcoming launches likely include updates for the Tiago and Tigor in the form of another round of facelifts to keep things fresh. Changes could include slightly updated designs as well as new features and safety tech.
