Skoda Celebrates Its 130th Anniversary By Showcasing 16 Vehicles At Retromobile 2025
Skoda is celebrating 130 years at Retromobile 2025 in Paris with 16 vehicles spanning its history. The exhibition includes bicycles, motorcycles, and cars from different eras, including the L&K Slavia bicycle, L&K Voiturette A, Skoda Popular Sport Coupé, Skoda Felicia, and modern models like the Skoda Enyaq.
Skoda Celebrates Its 130th Anniversary By Showcasing 16 Vehicles At Retromobile 2025
Czech automaker Skoda is celebrating its 130th anniversary at the Retromobile classic car exhibition in Paris. In collaboration with Skoda France, the company is showcasing 16 vehicles representing three centuries of its automotive history. The Retromobile exhibition is currently underway at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, it commenced from February 5th and will conclude on February 9th. This event is expecting around 1,30,000 international visitors.
Skoda At Retromobile 2025
Skoda has increased its exhibition area to 500 m² this year, showcasing 16 vehicles that trace its development since its establishment in 1895. The display includes bicycles, motorcycles, vintage vehicles and current production models, highlighting key milestones in its history.
The exhibit includes a replica of the L&K Slavia bicycle from 1897 and two early motorcycles: the 1903 L&K BZ, powered by a 331cc engine, and the 1905 L&K CCR. The L&K Voiturette A, introduced in 1905, is also featured. This vehicle had a 1,005cc twin-cylinder engine with a top speed of 40 kmph.
Vehicles From 1920 To 1940
The display includes the Skoda L&K 110 from 1929, marking the period after Laurin & Klement merged with the Skoda industrial group. The Skoda Popular Sport Coupé from 1934, part of a limited production of five units, and the 1940 Skoda Rapid OHV with its aerodynamic design are also part of this section.
Post-War & Mid-Century Vehicles
Skoda is showcasing models from the post-war period, including the 1958 Skoda 1201 STW in its service vehicle configuration. The 1961 Skoda Felicia, equipped with a 1,089 cc engine, is included alongside the Skoda Trekka utility vehicle produced in New Zealand between 1966 and 1973. The Skoda 110 Super Sport Ferat from 1981, created for the film Ferat Vampire, is also displayed.
Modern & Electric Models
The exhibit includes modern vehicles such as the Skoda Octavia WRC from 2003, the Skoda Superb Tour de France from 2005, and the Skoda Yeti Extreme Concept from 2014. The current electric models, Skoda Enyaq and Skoda Elroq, are also part of the lineup.
