Super Rare BMW M4 Nurburgring Exclusive To China Debuts At 2025 Shanghai Auto Show Limited To 53 Units

German automaker BMW has introduced the M4 Nurburgring Edition at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, commemorating over 25 years of collaboration with Germany’s Nurburgring Nordschleife.

The information shared by BMW Group revealed that this is a limited-run model making it super rare. What adds to its exclusivity is the fact that BMW is also celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the M division and the production of this car is limited to only 53 units which are exclusive to the Chinese market.

According to BMW each of the M4 Nurburgring Edition features BMW Individual’s Frozen Deep Green metallic paint, a nod to the Nurburgring’s “Green Hell” nickname. Its front kidney grille is accented with red, while the coupe rides on bronze-finished wheels with highlighted red brake callipers. Also the design details include black decals across the bonnet and the boot.

Even the interiors of this car are inspired from the iconic Nurburgring. On the inside, BMW has tweaked the cabin to mark its Nurburgring connection. It gets carbon bucket seats featuring a two-tone finish, with the famous track outline embroidered onto the headrests in red. Even the door sills of this car display special “Nurburgring 1/53” badgings. It also gets a flat-bottom steering wheel which is wrapped in Alcantara with red stitching.

Performance is the foundation of every M4 badged car that has come out from BMW’s stable and this car is no exception. This special edition M4 is based on the M4 Competition xDrive and it continues to house the 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six engine which generates a power output of 523 bhp and 650 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. The company also claimed that this special edition car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in only 3.5 seconds, or 3.2 seconds using the one-foot rollout method.

The Limited Edition BMW M4 Nurburgring Edition is priced at approximately $150,000 which is about $19,000 more over the standard M4 Competition xDrive in the Chinese market. Despite the high cost, the exclusive M4 Nurburgring Edition carries a significantly high collectors value and it is expected to fly off the shelves in a flash.
