Volvo Launches Flagship SUV, XC90 At Rs 1.03 Crore: Check Details

Volvo XC90 Engine

The flagship SUV from Volvo is set to be powered by a B5 2.0L four-cylinder engine producing 246.5 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. In addition to that, the internal combustion engine works in tandem with a 48V electric motor, making the Volvo XC90 a mild hybrid SUV. Moreover, the Volvo XC90’s engine sends power to all four wheels, thereby being an all-wheel drive SUV.

The Volvo XC90 on the front features diagonal slats on the front grille. Additionally, the LED DRLs receive minor tweaks whereas the Swedish automaker has added more air vents to the front bumper of its flagship SUV. The 2025 Volvo XC90 is being offered in 6 colour options including a new colour option: Mulberry Red.

On the inside, the XC90 features an 11.2-inch infotainment system which replaces the previous 9-inch infotainment unit. Furthermore, the Swedish automaker has added Frequency Selective Damping technology in the XC90’s arsenal along with better sound insulation and storage options.

Volvo cars have been at the forefront of safety. The Volvo XC90 is equipped with safety features including adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, rear cross traffic alert along with autobrake function, lane keep assist, rear collision warning and mitigation, lane departure warning and collision avoidance mitigation, among others. Moreover, the SUV from Swedish automaker features dual-stage airbags, driver side knee airbag, power child safety lock, whiplash injury protection and inflatable curtain side impact protection, among others.
