MG Motor India Reveals That South India Accounted For About 50 Percent Of Its EV Sales In 2024
MG Motor India revealed that South India contributed to 50% of its EV sales in 2024, with 10,698 units sold out of 22,646. Karnataka led the sales, followed by Telangana and Kerala. MG Motor India offers three electric cars: Comet EV (starting at Rs 6.99 lakh), Windsor EV (starting at Rs 13.99 lakh), and ZS EV (starting at Rs 18.98 lakh). All models are also offered with a BaaS module at a lower starting price.

Chinese owned British legacy automaker MG Motor has offered an interesting sales insight. The revealed South India accounted for about 50 percent of its total EV sales in 2024.
The company has cited VAHAN data for the same according to which the company sold 22,646 units of passenger electric vehicles in the Indian market in the last calendar year out of the total 22,646 electric cars sold by the company last year, 10,698 units were sold in South India which account for 47.2 percent of its total EV sales in India.
Sharing this data MG Motor India has highlighted that in South India, Karnataka accounted for highest sales of electric cars for the company last year, followed by Telangana and Kerala.
MG Motor India currently offers three electric cars in the Indian market - Comet EV, Windsor EV and the ZS EV.
The MG Comet EV is an entry level two-door micro electric car which comes with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 6.99 lakh. It is also offered with BaaS (Battery As A Service) module with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 4.99 lakh.
The MG Windsor EV is an all-electric CUV which comes with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 13.99 lakh and with BaaS module it is offered with a starting ex-showroom price o fRs 9.99 lakh.
The MG ZS EV is an all electric compact SUV which comes with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 18.98 lakh and with BaaS module it is offered with a starting ex-showroom price o fRs 13.99 lakh.
