Nissan Revives Nismo Brand In Europe With The Ariya Nismo EV
Nissan is reintroducing its NISMO brand to Europe with the debut of the electric Nissan Ariya NISMO, celebrating NISMO's 40th anniversary in 2024. The model features a Japanese-inspired design and enhancements to the 87kWh Ariya e-4ORCE, including aerodynamic elements and NISMO tuning for improved power and handling. The interior boasts NISMO seats and a black base with red accents. The Ariya NISMO will be showcased at the London E-Prix finale and is set for release later this year.

Nissan Revives Nismo Brand In Europe With The Ariya Nismo EV
Nissan has announced the return of its Nismo brand to Europe with the launch of the fully electric Nissan Ariya Nismo. As Nismo marks its 40th anniversary in 2024, European customers will be able to purchase the Ariya Nismo, Nissan's first fully electric Nismo model in this market.
The Ariya Nismo features a design influenced by Japanese aesthetics and builds on the capabilities of the 87kWh Ariya e-4ORCE. The electric crossover includes sporty exterior elements and engineering modifications. The aerodynamic design aims to reduce drag and increase downforce at higher speeds.
Nismo tuning, paired with high-grip tires and an adjusted e-4ORCE system, aims to enhance power and torque distribution, providing smooth acceleration. The vehicle is designed for handling and cornering, with a focus on traction in various weather conditions. The brake pads are adjusted for reliable stopping power.
Inside, the Ariya Nismo has a black-based interior with red accents and Nismo seats designed for grip and fit.
Commenting on the occasion, Mayra Gonzalez, Divisional Vice President Marketing & Sales, Nissan Europe said, "Nismo is back in Europe! We are bringing this exciting brand back into our market with a new and refreshed model. As we push forward the electrification of our lineup, it's essential that we continue to offer elite and exciting models to customers and Nismo enthusiasts as well".
The Ariya Nismo will be showcased during the season finale of the London E-Prix, allowing visitors to see it firsthand. Nissan plans to launch the Ariya Nismo later this year.
Gonzalez further went on to add that, "Ariya Nismo strikes the perfect balance of the immediate response and acceleration of an all-electric car with the mechanical fine-tuning of a sports car, resulting in an outstanding car for day-to-day driving. With its striking design and stance, get ready to stand out from the crowd!"
