NueGo Expands Electric Intercity Bus Services Across Multiple Regions In India

NueGo, an electric intercity bus service operated by GreenCell Mobility, announced the expansion of its national network. The operator now connects more cities across India with 100% electric buses. The new routes cover several key regions, including North, South and Central India.

Some of the newly added services include routes such as Delhi–Lucknow, Amritsar–Delhi, Bengaluru–Davanagere, Chennai–Madurai, Delhi–Bareilly and Hyderabad–Kurnool. Other cities added to the network include Jaipur, Kota, Indore, Ratlam, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Gurugram, Sirsa and Mysore.

As part of the expansion, NueGo introduced what it claims is the country’s longest electric intercity bus route—between Delhi and Lucknow. The route covers approximately 500 km and takes around 10 hours.

NueGo has also rolled out India’s first fully electric air-conditioned sleeper buses. These are intended for long-distance travel, offering overnight services on selected routes.

To support its growing network, NueGo has set up over 50 mid-point facilities equipped with charging stations. These locations are meant to reduce downtime and help maintain scheduled services across longer distances.

The operator states that all its electric buses are equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), GPS tracking, CCTV and a speed cap of 80 kmph. Additional measures include a 24/7 helpline for women passengers and a “Pink Seat” option during booking.
