Royal Enfield Electric motorcycle has been spied testing on the streets of Barcelona, after recently teasing it on their 'RoyalEnfieldev' Instagram handle, ahead of its unveiling at the EICMA 2024 show on November 4. Taking to their Instagram social media handle the brand dropped a teaser in which a bike hanging to a parachute in the outer space can be seen and a silhouette of the motorcycle is also visible. This indicates that this electric motorcycle will be a single-seater, bobber-style bike. As of now, no official name has been announced but it is likely to be called "ELECTRIK 01."

Neo-Retro Design

The teaser, spied images and the patent image that are making round on the internet reveal that the motorcycle gives a glimpse of neo-retro roadster style. The design is familiar with Royal Enfield touches, such as a round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a single-seat setup. It is likely a round TFT display, similar to those seen on other models like the Himalayan and Guerrilla 450.

Technical Details Still Under Wraps

While technical specifications are still under the covers, the spy shots suggest that the electric bike is expected to use a chain or belt drive to power the rear wheel. In terms of braking it is expected to include disc brakes on both ends.

Previous Electric Concepts and Collaborations

Previously at EICMA 2023 Royal Enfield introduced the "Him-E" electric concept. The Him-E served as a test platform for the company’s future EV development. Additionally, in 2022, Royal Enfield acquired some stakes in a Spanish electric motocross brand Stark Future.

Upcoming Debuts at EICMA 2024

Royal Enfield is expected to debut the Interceptor Bear 650 which is also going viral on the internet after its spy images started to make rounds on the internet and a scrambler model powered by its 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine.
