Solaris To Supply 46 Electric Buses To Keolis Sverige In Sweden
Solaris Bus & Coach has signed a contract with Keolis Sverige, one of Sweden’s major transport operators, to supply 46 battery-electric buses for the Dalarna region. The fleet will include 19 Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses and 27 Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric models. Solaris has been supplying vehicles to Swedish operators since 2003. Nearly 700 vehicles have been delivered in this period, many of which have low- or zero-emission systems.
Solaris To Supply 46 Electric Buses To Keolis Sverige In Sweden
Solaris Bus & Coach has inked an agreement with Keolis Sverige to deliver 46 battery-electric buses for the Dalarna region in Sweden. Sharing this update the company revealed that this order includes 19 Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses and 27 Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric buses. The deliveries for the same will take place in two phases, with the Urbino 15 LE buses scheduled for 2025 and the Urbino 12 buses for 2026.
The Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses are designed for urban routes and can carry up to 61 passengers. They are equipped with batteries with a capacity of 600 kWh and feature a modular drive system. The propulsion system includes a 240 kW motor.
The Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric buses are intended for both urban and intercity operations. These buses can carry up to 72 passengers and are equipped with 700 kWh batteries. Passenger seats will include seatbelts, and the buses will have a system to monitor driver fatigue.
Both models include systems for monitoring operations and cameras that replace traditional mirrors. They also include features for fare collection and provide charging options for devices.
Solaris has been supplying vehicles to Swedish operators since 2003. Nearly 700 vehicles have been delivered in this period, many of which have low- or zero-emission systems. This contract adds to the company’s ongoing work in the region to deliver vehicles designed for emission reduction in public transportation.
