Elon Musk led global EV giant Tesla is gearing up to set up its second showroom in India's national capital. A recent post on social media revealed that Tesla India is set to open its second showroom in the country in New Delhi. Reportedly this upcoming showroom will be located near Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, the upcoming Tesla Experience Centre follows the brand’s first outlet at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

The image shared by a user on social media showcased an under construction showroom which is expected to commence operations soon. This image of the under-construction dealership offered a glimpse into the setup. It outlined that this showroom is coming up in the Aerocity region of the capital and will cater to customers in Delhi, NCR region and northern India. Although Tesla has not officially confirmed the opening date, we anticipate this showroom to be functional by August or September.
Expansion in India
Tesla’s India operations now include two dealerships, a warehouse in Kurla, an engineering office in Pune, and a corporate office in Bengaluru. The company’s official website for India recently went live, enabling potential buyers to configure and book vehicles online.
Initially, vehicle registration options on the site were limited to Mumbai, New Delhi, and Gurugram. However, the scope has now expanded, allowing customers from all states and union territories to register their cars. Deliveries will be prioritised for Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram, with Tesla using flat-bed trucks to deliver vehicles directly to customers’ locations.
Tesla India Presence
Recently Tesla marked its official entry into the Indian market with the launch of its Model Y electric car. The company introduced this car in the domestic market in its Standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variants along with a Long Range RWD variant. All these variants are listed on the official website Tesla India.
The Tesla Model Y is available in the Indian market in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 59.89 to 67.89 lakh.
