South Korean automaker, Kia has unveiled the 2026 model year Seltos compact SUV. This iteration of the Kia Seltos marks its second generation in India. The Kia Seltos was the first product introduced by the South Korean automaker in India in August 2019, approximately six years ago. The 2026 Kia Seltos has undergone a major changes in its design language, platform, features and dimensions.

2026 Kia Seltos: Engine and Transmission

The new 2026 Kia Seltos gets three engine options, much like the outgoing model. The engine options consist of G1.5 Smartstream naturally aspirated petrol engine, a G1.5 Smartstream T-GDi turbocharged petrol engine and 1.5 CRDi turbocharged diesel engine producing 113.43 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, 157.81 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, and 114.41 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, respectively.

The naturally aspirated petrol engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, six-speed intelligent manual transmission and intelligent variable transmission (IVT) while the turbocharged petrol engine will be mated to seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The diesel engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

2026 Kia Seltos: Dimensions

The 2026 Kia Seltos has undergone a change in platform. The new 2026 Kia Seltos is based on the K3 platform. Not only that but it measures 4,460 mm in length and 1,830 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. The increased length makes the 2026 Kia Seltos the longest in the segment.

2026 Kia Seltos: Exterior

The South Korean automaker has brought the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy to the Seltos which the Kia Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV boast. In addition to that, the front of the second-generation Seltos boasts digital tiger face with black high glossy grille with dark gunmetal accents, ice cube LED projection headlamps with dynamic welcome function, star map LED DRLs with integrated turn signal and LED fog lamps.

Not only that but the compact SUV boasts star map LED connected tail lamps, 18-inch sporty crystal cut alloy wheels with neon brake calipers, an integrated rear spoiler with hidden rear wiper, automatic streamline door handles along with front and rear skid plates with dark gunmetal finish. It boasts 10 monotone colour options including two new colours such as morning haze and magma red.

2026 Kia Seltos: Interior

The 2026 Kia Seltos boasts a smoky black and white two-tone interiors with white accents and leatherette seats. In addition to that, it features a 30-inch trinity panoramic display panel which is paired with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Notably, it features a double 'D-Cut' dual tone leatherette-wrapped steering wheel.

Additionally, the 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar adjust, integrated memory driver seat synced with ORVM settings, and ventilated front seats, Bose premium sound system with 8 speakers, 64-color ambient mood lighting, smartphone wireless charger, 60:40 rear seat split with recline adjust, sunshade curtains, type-C USB charging ports, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and welcome retract seat function are some of the features the new 2026 Kia Seltos boasts.

The safety features of the 2026 Kia Seltos include 24 standard safety pack including 6 airbags, anti-lock brake system (ABS), hill-start assist control (HAC), electronic stability control (ESC), rollover sensor, and rear occupant alert, among others. In addition to that, the new Kia Seltos packs 21 autonomous safety features including forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, and smart cruise control with stop and go along with blind view monitor, 360-degree surround camera, and side parking sensors.

2026 Kia Seltos: Pre-Booking and Launch Date

The South Korean automaker is gearing up to launch the Kia Seltos on January 2, 2026. However, the company will the pre-booking process tonight. In order to pre-book the new Kia Seltos, the customers will have to pay Rs 25,000.
