2026 Kia Seltos Global Launch Today: Here’s What to Expect

Kia is set to launch the next-generation Seltos today at its global premiere. The upcoming model will be a full redesign of the SUV that first entered the Indian market in 2019. Based on the official teaser material, the new vehicle follows Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design direction with noticeable updates to shape, stance and exterior elements.

The teaser shows vertically placed LED daytime running lights shaped like boomerangs. These are paired with rectangular projector headlamps positioned within the same housing. The bonnet appears flatter with smoother panels. The revised tiger-face grille is mounted lower than before, making the front appear wider. The updated front bumper now includes a silver skid-plate-style insert. Front parking sensors and redesigned fog lamp surrounds are also visible.

The side view indicates adjusted proportions with a more upright glass area and sharper body lines. The alloy wheels are dual-tone with an angular, aero-style design. The SUV also features roof rails and subtle chrome or silver highlights around the windows and roofline. The ORVMs include integrated LED turn indicators.

At the rear, the Seltos gets L-shaped LED tail lamps with a connected red light strip across the tailgate. A new two-piece LED light bar and dynamic turn indicators are visible. The rear bumper uses black cladding with silver detailing. The reflectors and reverse lights are mounted lower on the bumper. A shark-fin antenna is also present.

Kia seltos SUV shown in the teasers appears in a muted grey-green shade with a matte-like surface finish. The body panels feature more defined edges along the doors and fenders.

Kia has not shared any information regarding the technical specifications for New Seltos. The current engine options, including the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L diesel and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, are expected to continue. Several reports suggest that a new hybrid powertrain could be added.

Details related to the interior design, feature list and digital systems have not been announced so far. These are expected to be revealed at the time of the global unveiling.
