Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept Revealed at 80th Anniversary Event

Kia marked its 80th anniversary with a formal event in South Korea, where it presented its company history and introduced a new future mobility concept car called Vision Meta Turismo.

At Kia's 80th anniversary ceremony, the Korean automaker revealed the Vision Meta Turismo concept car for the first time. The concept is designed to reflect how the company sees future mobility evolving.

Design and Interior Layout

The exterior of the Vision Meta Turismo follows Kia’s “Opposites United” design approach, which blends contrasting design elements into a single form.The Vision Meta Turismo features a low, wide stance with a long roofline and short overhangs. The body has a smooth, fastback-style profile with sharply defined wheel arches.The side view shows flush door lines, large aerodynamic wheels with closed surfaces and a continuous glass roof section.

At the rear, the concept uses slim vertical LED tail-lamps positioned at the edges. The tailgate design is flat with minimal surface cuts, while the Kia logo is mounted centrally. A dark lower bumper section and a vertical red highlight element are integrated at the rear diffuser area.

On the inside, the focus is on digital interaction between passengers and the vehicle. The cabin is designed to allow both driving and relaxation, with layouts that support communication and comfort during long journeys.

Digital Driving Modes and AR Technology

The concept car offers three digital driving modes: Speedster, Dreamer and Gamer. These modes operate through AR head-up display technology using smart glasses fitted inside the vehicle.

The AR system projects virtual images into the driver’s field of view, allowing digital content to appear as part of the real road environment. Each mode uses lighting, sound and virtual surroundings to create different driving experiences based on usage.

Focus on Future Mobility Experience

The Vision Meta Turismo focuses on how future vehicles may combine mobility with digital and interior space use. According to Kia, the concept reflects its direction toward vehicles that support both movement and in-cabin experience.

Karim Habib, Vice President of Global Design at Kia, said, “Vision Metaturismo reflects Kia’s vision for mobility, reflecting dynamic mobility and people-centered spaces. “Going forward, Kia will continue to provide not only technologically advanced mobility, but also experiences that stimulate and inspire the senses.”
