5 Hot-Shot Cars Launched In April 2025

April 2025 witnessed an exciting wave of new car launches in India, with major brands introducing updated models and special editions across different segments. From luxury SUVs to high-performance sports cars, these fresh arrivals offer a mix of cutting-edge technology, powerful engines and bold design updates. Here’s a look at five hot-shot cars that made their debut this month, including new offerings from Range Rover, BYD, Volkswagen, Skoda and BMW.

Range Rover launched the Evoque Autobiography in India on April 28th, at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 69.50 lakh. The Range Rover Evoque Autobiography is available with two powertrain options - the P250 petrol mild hybrid engine delivering power of 246 bhp and 365 Nm torque and a D200 diesel mild hybrid engine delivering power of 201.1 bhp and 430 Nm torque. On the Outside, it features a sliding panoramic sunroof, Pixel LED headlights, signature Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and powered tailgate/boot lid.

BYD also launched the MY25 Seal in India on April 28th, at an Ex-Showroom price tag of Rs 41 lakh. The base variant, SEAL Dynamic with rear-wheel drive and a 61.44 kWh battery, is priced at Rs 41,00,000. The SEAL Premium, also rear-wheel drive but equipped with a larger 82.56 kWh battery, is priced at Rs 45,70,000. The top-spec SEAL Performance variant, which features all-wheel drive and the same 82.56 kWh battery, is priced at Rs 53,15,000. All prices are ex-showroom, India.

Volkswagen India has launched the new Tiguan R-Line as its top-spec SUV offering in the country on April 16th, at an introductory price of Rs 48.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0L TSI EVO petrol engine, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and features Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is available in six colours: Persimmon Red Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Pearl and Oyster Silver Metallic.

Skoda Auto India launched the second-generation Kodiaq 4x4 SUV on April 17th, at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 46.89 lakh. The second-gen Kodiaq has new LED headlamps with a welcome effect and a front grille with a horizontal light strip. A red strip connects the rear tail lamps. Colour options include Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey, Velvet Red, Race Blue, Bronx Gold (L&K only) and Steel Grey (Sportline only). The second gen Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0L TSI petrol engine that produces 201 bhp and 320Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and comes with 4x4 as standard.

BMW India launched the Z4 Impulse edition on April 11, at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 96.90 lakh. This is the first time the Z4 M40i is being offered in India with a manual gearbox. It is powered by a 3.0L, six-cylinder petrol engine that puts out, 335 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The automatic variant accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds, while the manual takes 4.6 seconds.
