2026 Kia Seltos Set to Launch on January 2

South Korean automaker, Kia unveiled the latest generation of its compact SUV, the Seltos. The company further stated that the Seltos will be launched on January 2. However, the pre-booking of the compact SUV will start shortly with Rs 25,000 set as the booking amount.

With the unveiling of the new Kia Seltos, the compact SUV is now in its second generation. The 2026 Seltos has undergone major changes with design language, dimensions and platform getting an overhaul.

The 2026 Kia Seltos is based on a new K3 platform, measuring 4,460 mm in length and 1,830 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. The increased length makes the 2026 Kia Seltos the longest in the segment. In addition to that, the compact SUV is aligned with ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy.

Moreover, the 2026 Kia Seltos gets a Digital Tiger Face with Black High Glossy Grille with Dark Gunmetal accents, Ice Cube LED Projection Headlamps with Dynamic Welcome Function, Star Map LED DRLs with Integrated Turn Signal and LED fog lamps, in the front. The rear of the SUV consists of Star Map LED Connected Tail Lamps.

The new Seltos boasts 18-inch Sporty Crystal Cut Alloy Wheels with Neon Brake Calipers, an Integrated Rear Spoiler with Hidden Rear Wiper, Automatic Streamline Door Handles along with Front and Rear Skid Plates with Dark Gunmetal Finish.

Additionally, the SUV gets black and white two-tone interiors leatherette seats, 30-inch trinity panoramic display panel, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, double D-Cut dual tone leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar adjust, integrated memory driver seat synced with ORVM settings, ventilated front seats, Bose premium sound system with 8 speakers, 64-color ambient mood lighting, smartphone wireless charger, 60:40 rear seat split with recline adjust, sunshade curtains, Type-C USB charging ports, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and welcome retract seat function, among others.

The safety features of the 2026 Kia Seltos include 24 standard safety pack including 6 airbags, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Rollover Sensor, and Rear Occupant Alert, among others. In addition to that, the new Kia Seltos packs 21 autonomous safety features including forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, and smart cruise control with stop and go along with blind view monitor, 360-degree surround camera, and side parking sensors.

Notably, the Kia Seltos is powered by three engine options, much like the outgoing model. The engine options include G1.5 Smartstream naturally aspirated petrol engine, a G1.5 Smartstream T-GDi turbocharged petrol engine and 1.5 CRDi turbocharged diesel engine producing 113.43 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, 157.81 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, and 114.41 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, respectively.
