2027 Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S Revealed with Upgraded Engine, Chassis and Electronics

The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S models have been unveiled with a series of targeted refinements to the engine, chassis, and electronic control systems. These updates aim to build upon the performance capabilities of the previous model, with the manufacturer focusing on enhancing both rider feedback and track-focused efficiency.
At the heart of the machine remains the 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, which now produces a peak output of 218hp at 13,500rpm. Ducati engineers achieved this 2PS increase through a revised air-intake system, an updated lubrication circuit, and a modified exhaust configuration designed to minimize power loss. While peak torque has seen a marginal adjustment to 120.6Nm at 11,000rpm, the bike features a revised final drive ratio with larger 17/42 sprockets. Additionally, the rev limiter has been extended to 15,000rpm for gears two through five, a change intended to reduce the frequency of gear shifts during track use. For those seeking further performance, an optional Akrapovič Full Racing Exhaust PRO is available, which increases output by 11hp and 7Nm while reducing the bike's weight by 6.6kg.

Chassis Refinements and Electronic Enhancements

The 2027 Panigale V4 retains its monocoque chassis architecture, though Ducati has reduced the lateral stiffness of the front frame by 12 percent. This modification is intended to improve front-end grip, particularly when the motorcycle is at high lean angles. The standard V4 is equipped with fully adjustable Showa USD forks and a Sachs monoshock, whereas the V4 S variant features Öhlins suspension components integrated with the Smart EC 3.0 control system. The V4 S also introduces track-oriented adjustable clip-on handlebars, raised by 10mm to provide improved leverage and rider control.
The electronics suite has been expanded to include two new features: Dynamic Engine Brake and Race Brake Control. The Dynamic Engine Brake system utilizes the Ducati Vehicle Observation algorithm to offer more predictable behavior during cornering, while the Race Brake Control system optimizes the rear wheel's contribution to braking performance. These additions complement the existing array of ride modes, power settings, and the bi-directional quickshifter.
The 2027 Panigale V4 S will also be the first model to join the Ducati Factory Made program, allowing for extensive customization. Customers can select from 11 color options, including five shades from the Lamborghini Ad Personam program, along with various liveries and performance accessories. The 2027 models are scheduled to arrive in European dealerships in March, with a US market launch following in April. In the UK, pricing is set at GBP 25,495 for the standard V4 and GBP 30,995 for the V4 S.
