One of the main additions is map-mirroring, which allows riders to view navigation directly on the scooter’s 7-inch TFT screen. The feature provides turn-by-turn guidance, estimated time of arrival and distance to the next turn. The dashboard has also been updated to display details such as battery percentage, RPM and maximum speed.
Connectivity Options
The updated Nexus includes call notifications, call controls and music management. Music can be played, paused, or controlled either through the touchscreen or handlebar switches. Riders also receive safety alerts and service reminders through Ampere’s connected services.
Ram Rajappa, COO Greaves Electric Mobility said, “With the introduction of Nex.IO, Nexus now comes with various tech innovations, elevating the riding experience by bringing next-gen digital features into the hands of our customers. This makes Nexus not just an award-winning scooter, but also a more attractive offering. It highlights Ampere’s focus on real-world performance, safety, and design, and reflects our aim to democratize smart, sustainable mobility across India while keeping customer delight at the core.”
Companion App Integration
The scooter can be paired with the Ampere Connect mobile app, allowing users to track vehicle information and battery health. The app is designed to improve monitoring and remote access to scooter data.
High-Altitude Expedition
In addition to the technology updates, Ampere announced that the Nexus has completed a ride to Shipki La Pass, located at 13,200 feet near the India-China border. The expedition was recognized by the India Book of Records and highlighted the scooter’s ability to operate in high-altitude conditions.
Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility said, “At Greaves Electric Mobility, our vision is to change the way people move by manufacturing scooters that are safe, reliable and built to last. The Nexus is a step forward in that direction, combining new features with the strength of thoughtful design and engineering. By keeping riders at the center of everything we build, we aim to deliver a superlative riding experience that sets higher standards for sustainable transport and opens the way for a future where mobility is smarter, cleaner and more dependable for communities across India.”
