Aprilia RS457, Tuono 457 Prices Unchanged Despite GST Rate Hike on Motorcycles Above 350cc

Piaggio India announced that the prices of the Aprilia 457 range remain unchanged despite the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) revision. The updated pricing applies across India starting September 22, 2025.

The GST on motorcycles above 350cc has been increased from 28% to 40%, resulting in higher ex-showroom prices for many models in the two-wheeler segment.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 continues at its earlier ex-showroom price of Rs 3,95,000 in Maharashtra. Piaggio has absorbed the complete GST impact, ensuring no change in the customer price. The Aprilia Tuono 457 is powered by a 457cc parallel-twin engine that puts out 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque mated to a six speed gearbox.

The Aprilia RS457 also retains its earlier price level. It continues to be offered at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4,35,000 in Maharashtra, with Piaggio absorbing Rs 15,000 from the GST increase and including a quick shifter worth Rs 20,500 at no added cost. Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a 457cc, 2 parallel forward facing cylinders, 4 valves per cylinder, liquid-cooled with Ride-By-Wire engine that produces 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. It has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.

Earlier this month, the GST Council raised tax on motorcycles above 350cc from 28% to 40%, while reducing it on smaller-capacity models to 18%. To offset the effect of this revision, manufacturers have been revising their strategies. Piaggio has opted to hold prices steady for both Aprilia 457 models.
