BSA Motorcycles has expanded the aesthetic appeal of its Gold Star 650 by introducing two fresh colour schemes to its Indian lineup. The addition of these new options brings the total variety of finishes available for the retro-roadster to five, providing prospective buyers with a broader selection of visual styles for the 650cc model.
The updated range now includes the Birmingham Blue, which is priced at Rs 3.56 lakh, and the range-topping Brooklands Black Legacy Edition, which carries a price tag of Rs 3.65 lakh. These new additions sit alongside the existing colour palette, which consists of Insignia Red at Rs 3.42 lakh, Midnight Black at Rs 3.45 lakh, and Sheen Silver at Rs 3.60 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).

BSA Gold Star 650: Specifications

Despite the introduction of new visual options, the BSA Gold Star 650 remains mechanically unchanged. The motorcycle continues to be propelled by a 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This powertrain is engineered to produce 45PS and 55Nm of torque, with power delivery managed through a 5-speed gearbox. The manufacturer also continues to offer a selection of optional accessories, including a windshield, a rear rack, and knee pads, allowing owners to further customise their machines.

BSA Gold Star 650: Competition

In the competitive 650cc retro-roadster segment, the Gold Star 650 is frequently compared to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. While both motorcycles target riders looking for a classic aesthetic, they offer distinct mechanical experiences. The Royal Enfield features a parallel-twin engine, which is often noted for its smooth power delivery during highway cruising. In contrast, the BSA Gold Star 650 focuses on the characteristics of a large-displacement single-cylinder engine, combining the traditional feel of a big-single with the benefits of modern liquid-cooling technology.
