Citroen e-C3X EV Launched in India at Rs 10.49 Lakh, BaaS Price Starts at Rs 6.89 Lakh

The Indian division of the French automaker Citroen has today launched the e-C3X EV in the country. Citroen India has launched the e-C3X with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model aimed at lowering the initial purchase cost of an EV. The company says the move is intended to address one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption in India - high upfront acquisition costs. Bookings for the new e-C3X are now open across Citroen dealerships and through the brand's official website.

With BaaS, the e-C3X can be purchased at an introductory price of Rs 6.89 lakh, while the battery cost is paid separately through a monthly usage-linked plan priced at Rs 2.26 per kilometre. The standard e-C3X has been launched with an introductory starting ex-showroom price of Rs 10.49 lakh. Check out the detailed variant-wise pricing below:

The Citroen e-C3X retains its overall silhouette but receives several visual upgrades. These include LED headlamps, split LED daytime running lamps, front fog lamps, new X-badging, electric-folding ORVMs and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, body cladding, 170mm of claimed ground clearance and a turning radius of 4.98 meters.

On the inside, the Citroen e-C3X gets a refreshed cabin finished in a new Electric Blu theme along with dual-tone leatherette upholstery. The e-C3X continues to focus on space and practicality with a 2,450 mm wheelbase. Features list of the e-C3X includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, auto-dimming IRVM, JBL sound system, dashcam, connected car features and more.

The Citroen e-C3X comes equipped with a 29.2 kWh battery pack and it generates a peak power output of 56.22bhp and 143Nm of torque. The e-C3X offers a claimed range of up to 325 km on a single charge. It supports DC fast charging using which it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in a company claimed time of 57 minutes.

On the safety front the Citroen e-C3X comes equipped with 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, speed-sensitive automatic door locking and more.
