Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition Launched at Rs 1.16 Lakh: Gets TFT Display and TPMS
Hero MotoCorp has expanded the Xtreme 125R range in India with a new Stealth Edition. The new top-spec variant brings additional technology to the 125cc motorcycle, including a TFT instrument console and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom), it becomes the most expensive variant in the Xtreme 125R line-up. However, there are no mechanical changes, as the motorcycle continues with the same engine and hardware as the existing versions.
Key Highlights:
- Priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Gets a new TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
- Features a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
- Powered by the same 124.7cc engine producing 11.4 bhp and 10.5 Nm.
Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition: What's New?
The biggest update on the new Stealth Edition is its TFT instrument console, which replaces the 4.2-inch colour LCD unit available on the other variants. The new display brings Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music control.
Another important addition is the tyre pressure monitoring system. It allows riders to check tyre pressure directly through the instrument display, making it easier to keep track of tyre conditions. Hero MotoCorp claims that the Xtreme 125R is currently the only motorcycle in its segment to offer TPMS. This feature is relatively uncommon in the 125cc commuter motorcycle category.
The Stealth Edition is available in a single colour option, featuring Midnight Black paint with Pearl Red accents.
Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition: Features and Hardware
Apart from the new TFT display and TPMS, the motorcycle retains the existing feature list. It gets a ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control and three riding modes: Eco, Road and Power. The braking setup includes disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS. These features are carried over from the existing top-spec Dual Channel ABS variant.
There are no changes to the motorcycle's chassis, suspension or other cycle parts.
Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition: Engine and Performance
The new Stealth Edition uses the same 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the rest of the Xtreme 125R range.
The engine produces 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox that sends power to the rear wheel. Therefore, buyers should not expect any difference in performance compared to the other variants. The updates are limited to additional technology and equipment.
The new variant is aimed at buyers looking for additional technology in the 125cc motorcycle segment. While the engine and mechanical package remain unchanged, the TFT display and TPMS are the main additions that justify its position as the range-topping version.
