Honda has begun sales of its fixed-battery electric two-wheeled personal commuter, called the UC3, in Thailand and Vietnam. The company confirmed that deliveries will start during the spring season. The UC3 is positioned as an electric alternative to motorcycles in the 110cc internal combustion engine category. Alongside the launch, Honda is expanding charging infrastructure in key cities across both countries.

Battery, Motor and Performance

The UC3 uses a fixed-type lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, marking the first use of this battery format by Honda in an electric two-wheeler. Power comes from a wheel-side electric motor developed in-house, producing a peak output of 8bhp. According to Thailand certification data under WMTC Mode 1, the UC3 offers a riding range of up to 122 km on a full charge. The vehicle supports regenerative braking to improve efficiency. Honda UC3 comes with three riding modes: Standard, Sport and Econ. A reverse mode is also included to assist during parking and low-speed maneuvering.

Design and Charging System

The UC3 follows a design with continuous curves from the front to the rear and features a horizontal light signature. It is offered in a black-based color scheme with contrasting accents and uses a dedicated “Honda” font developed for electric motorcycles.
For charging, the UC3 supports the CHAdeMO standard for two-wheelers. Honda will offer two charger options rated at 1200W and 450W, depending on user requirements and charging locations.

Production and Future Plans

Honda began the Production of the UC3 in December 2025 in Thailand, with units supplied to both Thailand and Vietnam. Honda has also stated that local production in Vietnam is planned during 2026 to support demand in the market.
