At the HPCL Presents Times Drive Auto Summit & Awards 2026, conversations around India’s mobility transformation extended beyond manufacturing targets and EV production numbers to focus on the larger ecosystem required to support long-term adoption. During the panel discussion titled “Smart Mobility & Manufacturing: The Viksit Bharat Ecosystem,” industry stakeholders discussed how localisation, energy infrastructure, fleet operations and user experience will shape India’s mobility roadmap under the broader vision of Mobility Mission 2030.

One panel discussion at the event brought together leaders from different segments of the mobility ecosystem, including Trev Mobility, Omega Seiki Mobility and Maxwell Energy Systems, with discussions centred around localisation, battery technology, supply chain resilience and future-ready mobility solutions. Among the participants was Naveen Gupta, Founder of Trev Mobility, who spoke about the importance of reliability and consistency in accelerating EV adoption across urban mobility networks.
During the session, Gupta emphasised that infrastructure development alone would not determine the pace of EV adoption in India. He noted that consumers increasingly evaluate mobility services on overall experience, including ride consistency, convenience and service quality. According to Gupta, shared electric mobility and organised fleet operations can play a major role in familiarising users with EV technology and influencing wider consumer behaviour.
He also referred to the charging infrastructure expansion taking place across national highways through agencies such as National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV), while adding that standardised service delivery remains equally important for long-term confidence in electric mobility solutions.
The panel discussion highlighted, India’s EV transition is increasingly moving beyond product launches and manufacturing announcements toward ecosystem readiness, operational efficiency and consumer trust. Companies operating in shared electric mobility are expected to play a significant role in shaping how urban users experience and adopt EV technology in the coming years.
Trev Mobility
Founded with a focus on premium electric mobility services, Trev Mobility has positioned itself as an app-first urban transport platform built around chauffeur-driven EV operations. Operating across Delhi NCR, the company currently serves both individual and enterprise customers through a fleet comprising electric vehicles from brands such as BYD and MG Motor.
The company says it has completed more than 45,000 rides while focusing on standardisation, operational consistency and service quality in a market often characterised by fragmented ride experiences. Its operating model centres on professionally trained chauffeurs, app-based booking systems and electric-first fleet deployment.
Gupta’s approach to building Trev Mobility has been shaped by his experience across multiple mobility and consumer technology businesses. Before founding Trev Mobility, he worked with Hero MotoCorp, where he contributed to the company’s expansion in Central American markets. He later led international growth initiatives at redBus in Singapore and Malaysia.
His career also includes leadership roles at Swiggy, Cars24 and Zoomcar, where he worked on market expansion, operational scale and customer experience strategies.
Drawing from his international exposure and understanding of India’s mobility sector, Gupta identified what he described as a gap in dependable, premium and service-oriented mobility solutions. This eventually led to the creation of Trev Mobility, which aims to combine sustainability with structured fleet operations and customer-focused service delivery.
